Violet glass is a very dark glass that blocks most visible light. Light can affect the colour and aroma of tea – in violet glass your tea is well protected from it. The jar is also refillable and, if you no longer want to use it, can be disposed of in the glass recycling bin (please separate the lid).

Ideally cool, dry and protected from light. Our violet glass blocks most visible light and thus protects the colour and aroma of your tea. It is also important to close the jar tightly after each use and not to store it next to the stove or a radiator.

That depends on the blend and how you like to prepare it. As a guideline, you can follow the recommendation on the label: per cup (approx. 250 ml) we recommend about 3–4 g of tea = 1–2 teaspoons. Depending on the variety, one jar makes on average between 25 and 40 cups.

All our loose organic teas can also be steeped several times without losing their aroma. The exact number of cups can therefore vary depending on how strong you like your tea and how often you re-steep it. Our goal is for you to enjoy every cup with full flavour, right down to the last drop.

The caffeine content cannot be stated exactly because it depends on many factors – such as the type of tea, the amount, the water temperature and the steeping time. In general, black and green teas contain natural caffeine, while herbal and fruit teas are usually caffeine-free. If you have questions about individual blends, feel free to contact us.

The best-before date is printed on every package. Most teas are enjoyable well beyond this date if stored correctly. If you are unsure, our team will be happy to help.

Many of our accessories can be cleaned in the dishwasher. For open-pored cork products or handmade items such as tea strainers, we recommend washing by hand. The cleaning recommendation for each item is listed on the product page.

Yes, absolutely. The jars are durable and perfect for storing herbs, spices or small supplies. If you want to dispose of them, they go in the glass recycling bin.
